wondourous pachhmi

It was 6.30 A.M when I reached it the tiny village of pachhmi, which was celebrating life, flourishing under million pinpricks of light.
This green village is approximately 6 kms from my hometown ponda and at adistance of 12 kms from bondla. This village is famous for itts beutiful lake which provides water to many nearby villages.People in the village believe the lake to be sacred.Even it is acrime to kill or harm any creature in this area of the village. In the vicinity of the lake there is a ancient temple, where cobra's are worshipped. Therefore no snakes are killed in the village.
As I was marching towards the lake, I enquired about the snake diversity of the region.Snakes like bamboo pit viper(pan ghonas),ratsnake(divvad),bronzeback(passco),cobra(nag)and checkered keelback(yyewale) are reported to be seen in the in this area.
Biodiversity near the lake was ingeneous.brahminy skinks and bloodsuckers were commanly seen in the region.
Very rare birds are seen in this region. birds like emerald dove, spiderhunter, paradise flycather, spotted dove, malabar grey hornbill, tickell flycatcher, fantail flycatcher, verditars flycatcher, pied wagtail, yellow browed bulbul, malabar trogon, malabar whistling thrush are spotted in the region.
